 | Our flight from KLIA was at 5.30pm so we left home at 2.30pm. Hussien
and Yusof helped to send us to the airport and you should have seen the
amount of luggage that was carried. It looked more like we were on a
week-trip to Europe! (Well, Fariz brought his Sony Playstation2 and I
took my digicam and laptop...) |
 | I got Yam to double-check the air tickets (remembering that Reza once
forgot to bring his when he went to Australia and I had to pick it from
his house and drive all the way to KLIA). |
 | We flew by Air-Asia, and being the economical way to travel, we didn't
order for food (can't anyway, we were still fasting.) Also, the
departure was delayed by almost an hour. Not a surprise. |
 | When we arrived at Langkawi airport, we secured two rented cars and
headed for the TNB bungalow that was situated in Pantai Tengah. |
 | We were greeted by the local kerbaus and angsa but were happy to find
a comfortable wooden home overlooking the sea. Unfortunately, the
television set was not working, so Fariz couldn't play his PS2 games.
(We requested a temporary TV from the caretaker.) |
 | It was close to Maghrib, so we broke fast at the Holiday Villa resort,
which was beside the bungalow. We didn't have much choice, as most shops
were closed during the festive week. Therefore, we were at the mercy of
the hotel prices, and the dinner BBQ buffet raked RM437 out of my
wallet! (That's about RM55 per person.) |
 | The rest of the night was spent unpacking and relaxing in the
bungalow. |
